We reserve the right to refuse any project containing material that would be deemed socially unacceptable (period.)
sight-creations (synonymous with site-creations.com) is currently offering the following services:
- Basic video editing (includes basic transitions) [repairing, if possible, badly shot video will be extra]
Advanced video editing is still being determined on a job by job basis (will incur extra charges)
- Color correction and/or effects (custom color effects extra)
- Audio editing/mixing (includes custom music beds from "loops"; original compositions [much] extra)
Voice overs are the client's responsibility (but will be mixed if provided for the project)
- Motion graphics including lower thirds, on-screen text, graphics, and many kinds of special effects
- Photograph/Image conversion to video with motion effects ("slide show" with transition effects)
- Custom image editing and/or design (extra)
sight-creations is currently engaged in post-production only. This means:
- No travel to "remote" locations (outside of Donaldsonville, LA)
Will shoot video locally but recommend using a professional videographer
- Raw video and audio to be provided by the client
Accepted formats:
Videotape [VHS] (**not recommended**) [miniCam/Camcorder tapes will not be accepted]
- DVD [MPEG2 or DivX]
- Hard Drive (Firewire preferred, USB acceptable)
- Flash Drives (USB "dongles") or Memory Cards (SD, SDHD preferred)
- digital transfer (files stored at a retrievable location on an internet account)
- Will not accept Windows Media (WMV or related; AVI is ok) or Flash (FLV) formats
- Most acceptable formats include DV/DVCPro, HDV, XDCAM, H.264, PhotoJPEG, Apple ProRes (any format supported by QuickTime)
Almost any other format can be converted (there may be extra charges for "difficult" conversions.)
- Photographs/Images, if included, should be in high quality JPG, PNG, TIFF, or Adobe Photoshop format (with original layers intact)
sight-creations is NOT responsible for any transcoding that may occur after delivery!
[*Trying to "fit" HD into SD has proven NOT to be a good idea!]
- *For TV ads: due to the current state of advertising in the Baton Rouge (LA) television market, delivery will be in Standard Definition (480p) high quality H.264 format unless a higher resolution format is specifically requested (there may be extra charges due to the extra time it takes to encode HD files.) We can provide Center Cut Safe video.
- For web video: YouTube and other video sites currently accept HD format video; you may request 720 or 1080 delivery (extra charges if content is longer than 10 minutes by 10 minute intervals)
*Terms and services are subject to change without notice.
